As an Accounts Payable officer, you will take charge in managing financial and accounting operations specific to Accounts Payable. Apart from this, there is the development or processes improvement work for the Accounting team regarding operational strategies, optimization of existing processes, and insightful decision-making for business.

What are the responsibilities of an Accounts Payable Officer?

In this role, you will get to:

• Take care of the accounts payable and transfer payments, ensuring precision and timeliness are met.

• Oversee and manage fixed asset by monitoring their value and depreciation.

• Operate day-to-day accounting practices to assure seamless financial activities and reliable documentation.

• Manage accounts, assets, and liabilities, in order to offer key insights for future business expansion.

• Review the tax submissions (VAT, WHT, CIT) with accuracy and adherence to regulations and deadlines.

• Take part in transforming the company's accounting practices from TFRS for NPAE standards to PAE standards.

• Collaborate across technical and non-technical teams (technical teams e.g. Data Science, Data Analytics, etc., and non-technical teams e.g. admin, HR, legal, etc.) to provide vital financial data for informed decision-making.

Requirements for this role are: 

• Strong sense of detail-oriented behaviour and a good sense of analytical thinking (It's okay if you do not have exposure to some experiences or knowledge. At least, you should have good logic.)

• Preferable experience in both audit firms and in-house corporate accounting experience

• Knowledge of tax rules, tax exemptions, and optionally BOI regulations related to financial and accounting practices (Sertis is a BOI-promoted company)

• Knowledge of commercial law relevant to tech service company

• Experience using ERP or business management software (We use Odoo here.)

• Being comfortable to have conversations in English with foreigners and display effective interpersonal communication
